Introducing BusinessAssist

Introducing a new way for businesses and organizations to retain affordable legal assistance. The average business in America is small to medium sized and has the same legal needs as the largest businesses - without the budget. We provide your business or organization with flexibility in choosing the options you need to integrate a legal package that fits your budget. From email correspondence to document review, your organization is covered with BusinessAssist.

BusinessAssist Basic allows you to ask legal questions on a daily basis. Under this program, you can submit one email inquiry each business day (the email may contain only a single question). Responses are emailed back to you within 2 business days. This program gives you the benefit of regular legal contact, without the expense you would normally incur for hourly-basis assistance - it's a perfect match for businesses on a tight budget. (Note: For an additional fee, you can elect fax correspondence in lieu of email.)

BusinessAssist Advanced provides you with all of the same benefits of the BusinessAssist Basic program, with the added benefit of bimonthly telephone assistance. Under this program, in addition to daily email correspondence, you may contact our staff by telephone twice per month to discuss your legal concerns. This program provides you with support for more complicated issues, follow-up and/or to clarify your legal concerns.

BusinessAssist Complete provides you with daily email communications, weekly telephone support, and monthly site visits. Under this program, you continue to enjoy the benefits of submitting legal questions on a daily basis via email. In addition, for those difficult or more time consuming issues, you can speak with our staff once per week over the telephone. Finally, for businesses that desire in-person interaction, whether in the form of a specialized seminar, legal audit, or face-to-face discussions, this is your choice.

BusinessAssist Letters allows you to have our staff draft one letter per week on your behalf. The letters drafted by us appear on our letterhead and are mailed from our office (unless you choose otherwise), and may cover any of the topics included in the program. This is a particularly helpful component for those businesses desiring to create forms, including collection letters and termination or offer letters.

BusinessAssist Document Review provides you with weekly document review services, including contracts, letters, minute book parts, policy documents and other documents included in the program topics. With BusinessAssist Document Review, we review your documents, then provide you with a written overview addressing the primary legal concerns.

BusinessAssist Retainer provides you with the ultimate level of flexibility and the most comprehensive scope of services. Under the Retainer program, you pay for a predetermined amount of time. From there, you can apply that time to email correspondence, document review or preparation, or anything else included in the program topics. By choosing the Retainer program, you receive substantial savings over hourly-billed assistance - the more time you choose, the greater the saving. (Note: Site visits may incur additional fees under the retainer program.)

BusinessAssist Custom allows you to maximize your use of the program by choosing the components that you need most. The Custom program differs from the Retainer program by fixing the services you need for the month, to enable you to plan for your benefits under the program.

Topics Included In The BusinessAssist Program are limited to the following topics:

  • General corporate and business (including formation, maintenance, purchase and sale, and dissolution)
  • Minute book maintenance
  • Stock issuance and membership interests
  • General employment law (including policy, procedures, HR, wages, etc.)
  • General tort law (including business and applicable individual tort liability)
  • General intellectual property law (including trade secrets, copyrights, trademarks and patents)
  • Contract drafting and review
